ARMC Offers Comprehensive Cardiovascular Care
Advanced technology. Medical knowledge. Caring staff. These elements come together to make up the foundation of the Cardiovascular Institute of Carolina (CIC) at Aiken Regional. Cardiologists, surgeons and emergency physicians work in tandem to help keep your heart and blood vessels healthy. Here's a small sampling of what CIC can offer you.
- Cardiology Services: Cardiologists use noninvasive methods, interventional techniques and more to treat coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, congestive heart failure, valvular disease and other conditions. Services include artherectomy, angioplasty, stenting (coronary, carotid and abdominal aortic aneurysm) and peripheral vascular angioplasty and stenting.
- Diagnostic Catheterization Lab: Cardiac catheterization is used to provide key information about the heart's pumping functions and to diagnose many types of cardiovascular conditions.
- Noninvasive Diagnostics: Doctors use laboratory techniques to uncover potential problems, detect abnormal heart rhythms and learn about your heart. Tools include echocardiograms, cardiac computed tomography scans, stress tests and intravascular ultrasounds.
- Surgical Services: Experienced surgeons perform open-heart procedures, including peripheral vascular and coronary artery bypass, valvular replacement, carotid endarterectomy and aneurysm surgery. A comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation program helps you recover and avoid future hospitalization.
